Watford vs Crystal Palace Player Ratings: Watford host Crystal Palace at Vicarage Road for the rescheduled Round 18 fixture of the Premier League.

First half was filled with action as Mateta’s shot on target was deflected into the back of the net by Kiko. Watford equalized two minutes after conceding the lead through Sissoko’s header. Gallagher restored Palace’s lead with a thunderous shot before the end of first half.

Second half was all about Wilfried Zaha. His late goals in quick succession sealed a comfortable and dominating win for Crystal Palace.

Watford

Ben Foster (4/10): Foster had a nightmare of a game as he let 4 goals in facing just 5 shots on target.

Kiko (6.5/10): Apart from the brilliant ball from the corner which Sissoko converted, Kiko was average on the right flank.

Craig Cathcart (6.2/10): The centre back had a mediocre game as the defenders let in 4 goals.

Samir (6.1/10): Samir made good interceptions in the box but was also booked in the first half.

Hassane Kamara (6.6/10): The left back has had better games that this. His forward play was not rewarding as the attackers did not reciprocate.

Moussa Sissoko (7.3/10): Sissoko scored a thumping header from a corner to equalize for Watord. His presence in the midfield was imposing on the opponents.

Imran Louza (6.8/10): Louza had an average game but made a few good passes and tackles in the midfield.

Tom Cleverley (6.5/10): Cleverley made a few clumsy tackles but his passing was accurate apart from one or two mistimed passes.

Ismaila Sarr (6.7/10): Sarr’s pace created plenty of problems to Palace’s defenders but he couldn’t do anything impactful.

Joshua King (6/10): Yet another mediocre game for King with zero shots on target. He was subbed off in the second half.

Emmanuel Dennis (5.7/10): Dennis missed a big chance in the second half when he scuffed a ball above the crossbar. He also had the least number of touches throughout the match.

Substitutes:

Juan Hernandez (6.2/10): Hernandez could not have an impact on the game.

Edo Kayembe (6/10): Kayembe didn’t have much to do in the game in the final few minutes.

Crystal Palace

Jack Butland (6/10): Butland faced just a single shot which was difficult to save, other than that he had nothing much to do.

Nathaniel Clyne (7.2/10): The right back started slow but made up in the second half going forward and defending well when not in possession.

Joachim Andersen (7.5/10): Andersen provided good diagonal long balls to the wingers or strikers to make an attacking run forward.

Marc Guehi (7.6/10): Guehi used his body well to defend the incoming attacks. His presence in the box was excellent.

Tyrick Mitchell (8.2/10): Mitchell was exceptional defending in 1v1 situations. He made crucial blocks and clearances inside the box. He also assisted Gallagher with an outstanding cross.

Conor Gallagher (7.9/10): Gallagher scored an amazing goal at the end of the first half to give Palace an advantage going into the second half.

Will Hughes (6.8/10): Hughes had an average match. His passing and distribution were neat and effective.

Cheikhou Kouyate (7.5/10): Kouyate was good with his tackles and had a 100% tackle accuracy. He also won a few duels.

Jean-Philippe Mateta (7.7/10): Mateta’s shot was deflected into the goal, unfortunately for Kiko, to give Palace the lead.

Michael Olise (7.5/10): Olise was effective from the right-hand side, making dribbles and delivering crosses into the box.

Wilfried Zaha (9.1/10): Zaha really came into the game late into the match with two outstanding goals in a span of 5 minutes. First goal was a calm finish from Ayew’s cross and the second was a sensational solo goal curling into the far corner.

Substitutes:

Jordan Ayew (7.2/10): Ayew’s cross landed at Zaha’s feet which was calmly slotted to the back of the net.

James McArthur (7/10): McArthur provided a long ball to Zaha which resulted in a goal.
