5 oldest female grand slam champions in tennis history

Chinese ace Li Na won the historic 2014 Australian Open and became the 5th oldest woman to win a major title. That was his first and only grand slam title in her career.

British legend Virginia Wade held the record for the oldest grand slam winner for 13 years. She won Wimbledon in 1977 at the age of 31.

Flavia Pennetta shocked everyone by winning the 2015 US Open which is the only major title of her career. She won the major aged 33.

Martina Navratilova become the oldest grand slam champion when she won Wimbledon in 1990 aged 33. This was her 18th and final major title.
