5 players with most consecutive weeks at the top of the singles rankings

Pete Sampras is 5th on the list with 102 consecutive weeks at the top. He was the top ranked player for a total of 286 weeks, the third highest tally on the ATP Tour. 

Novak Djokovic with 122 consecutive weeks sits 4th on the list. The Serb with 373 weeks at the top holds the record for the most weeks spent by any male player. 

Ivan Lendl spent a total of 270 weeks at the top of the rankings of which 157 weeks were consecutive, putting him 3rd on the list. 

Jimmy Connors is second on the list with a 160 consecutive weeks as the World No. 1. The 8-time major winner was the top ranked player for 268 weeks in total during his long and glorious career. 

Roger Federer remains the only player with more than 200 consecutive weeks at the top. Federer spent a total of 310 weeks as the World No. 1 of which 237 weeks were consecutive giving him the record.
