Here's why Mike Tyson ridiculed Hulu's controversial series depicting his life story

Hulu's recent series 'Mike' depicting the life and career of Mike Tyson received a huge backlash from the boxing legend.

Tyson said through an Instagram post that he didn't support the production of the series and that he received no royalties from the shoemaker. Tyson accused them of stealing the story of his life and making millions from it.

Tyson also accused the show makers of being the 'Slavemasters' of streaming services. Tyson said the Hulu executives thought that he was just a guy they could sell to make money.

The series' creators tried to defend themselves saying the show was not meant to glorify his life and they wanted to create an unbiased portrayal of Mike's controversial life and career.

Hulu also tried to pay UFC president Dana White to promote their show but White rejected the offer. Tyson thanked Dana for supporting him against this injustice.
