Genshin Impact is one of the most played RPGs right now that has received multiple accolades and awards. The action-adventure game provides an extensive content from characters to some unique features.
The most fascinating aspect of the game is its vast list of characters that can be obtained through banners- Character Event Wishes or Standard banner.
Coming to the characters, they are divided on the basis of their rarities. It oges without saying that players will seek 5-star characters as they provide the best gameplay animations along with the required damage during combat.
Obtaining these characters is not a cakewalk as it purely depends on luck. However, there is a way to know when there are high chances of obtaining 5-star units. This aspect is known as Soft Pity and Hard Pity.
HARD PITY- Hard Pity also known as Pity is an in-game term used when 'unlucky' players are not able to get their desired characters even after pulling on banners over 80 times. Hard Pity count begins when the banner pull count hits 90. From this, the chances of getting characters enhances.
SOFT PITY- The soft pity works for some players who get lucky in Genshin Impact. Soft Pity hits when the pull count goes up to 70-75. If players are able to claim a 5-star character before the 80th pull, they are claiming the character on Soft Pity which is quite rare.
A myth to bust for Pity system in Genshin Impact is that players are guaranteed to get characters when they hit Hard or Soft Pity and make their first pull. On the contrary, players can get these characters within the first ten pulls for hitting the pity.
Genshin Impact is currently running the 3.4 version where Al-Haitham and Yaoyao became the playable Dendro units. For the next patch, Dehya and Mika will become playable.
