During United's 2-0 win vs Tottenham, Ronaldo, chose to leave the bench early and walk down the tunnel before the final whistle was blown.

Coach, Erik ten Hag said that he wanted to focus on the performance of his team when asked about Ronaldo after the game as he added he’ll prefer to "deal" with the 37-year-old on Thursday.

The following day, United announce that Cristiano won't be part of their upcoming game vs Chelsea. It is said that Ten Hag wanted to “punish” Cristiano for his actions.

The announcement was followed by Cristiano Ronaldo's post who sent a message on his social media that read, “Unfortunately that’s not always possible and sometimes the heat of the moment gets the best of us.

Cristiano has faced problems on and off the pitch since Erik Ten Hag became the manager, although, Ten Hag has recently talked about how Cristiano should stay. Yet, this is destined to change after the Spurs game.
