2022 FIFA World Cup: A look at Qatar's stadiums and playing grounds 

Lusail Iconic Stadium- Situated in the city of Lusail, this stadium is going to host the final of the tournament. Lusail stadium is the biggest stadium built for the FIFA World Cup as it holds the capacity of 80,000 people.It will host 10 matches throughout the competition in total. 

Al Bayt Stadium - This beautiful stadium has a capacity of 60,000 and will host 9 matches throughout the month.The hosts, Qatar is going to play the inaugural match against Ecuador on the 20th of November.  

Al Janoub Stadium- Located in Al Wakrah, this stadium has an astonishing retractable roof and an eye-catching design. Al Janoub will host 7 matches throughout the whole competition. 

Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium- The newly built stadium has a capacity of 40,000, and is located in Al the city of Rayyan. The stadium has a scenic view around it as, it is at the edge of a desert. 

Khalifa Stadium- Khalifa stadium was built in 1976, and has hosted numerous sporting events in the past like the Asian Games and the Arabian Gulf Cup. The stadium has a capacity of 40,000, and will host 8 matches in the upcoming tournament.

Stadium 974- Located in the city of Doha, this stadium looks like a piece of art as and has a unique design. It holds a capacity of 40,000 abd will host 7 matches  in the FIFA World Cup. 

Al Thumama Stadium- The astounding looking stadium has been inspired by the gahfiya-a traditional cap worn by men inn Qatar. The stadium will be hosting 8 matches. 

Education City Stadium-  Also called the Qatar Foundation stadium, this stadium is going to host 8 matches including the quarter finals of the prestigious tournament.
