In the second half of the Lakers turnaround victory over the Mavericks on February 26, James sustained a right foot injury

Initial reports said that the right foot tendon injury would be re evaluated in "approximately three weeks "

Later, Bleacher Report's Chris Haynes provided a positive update that the superstar would not need surgery

Mark Medina subsequently stated that James may be able to play despite the pain when the initial discomfort fades.

James officially removed his walking boot for the first time since injuring his right foot against the Dallas Mavericks.

The Lakers have kept their playoff hopes alive amid James absence and the team will hope to get a further positive update on his injury when he's re evaluated later in March
