List of all singles Grand Slam champions in 2022

Ash Barty won the 2022 Australian Open, her maiden win on home turf. Barty defeated American Danielle Collins in straight-sets to win the finals. It was her 3rd and final Grand Slam title. It eventually turned out to be Barty's last-ever professional match as she retired shortly afterwards. 

Rafael Nadal emerged as the champion in the men's side. Up against reigning Grand Slam champion Daniil Medvedev in the finals and staged an epic comeback to win the title in 5-sets in what was the second-longest Australian Open finals. The title made Nadal the first man to win 21 majors in the Open Era. It was his 2nd Australian Open title. 

Iga Swiatek won her second Grand Slam title at this year's French Open. It was also her 2nd title at the Roland Garros. Swiatek defeated Coco Gauff in straight-sets in the finals during her brilliant unbeaten run as she went on to win 37 consecutive matches. 

Rafael Nadal won his second major of the year as he defeated Casper Ruud in straight-sets. It was Nadal's 14th French Open title and record-extending 22nd Grand Slam title. It was the first time Nadal won both the Australian and French Open in the same year.

Elena Rybakina defeated Ons Jabeur in 3-sets to win her maiden Grand Slam title. Rybakina with the win in Wimbledon became the first player to win their maiden major title during the 2022 season. She became the first Kazakhstani player to win a major.

3-time defending champion Novak Djokovic won his 4th consecutive Wimbledon title after defeating Nick Kyrgios in 4-sets. The win made Djokovic go ahead of Roger Federer and close the gap to Nadal by winning his 21st major. It was Djokovic's 7th win in Wimbledon tying Pete Sampras' tally. 

Iga Swiatek won her 2nd major of the season defeating Ons Jabeur in straight-sets. It was Swiatek's 3rd Grand Slam career title and made her the first women singles player since Angelique Kerber in 2016 to win multiple majors in the same season. 

Carlos Alcaraz won his maiden Grand Slam title defeating Casper Ruud in 4-sets. Apart from the major, the World No. 1 spot was also on the line and Alcaraz clinched both of them. Alcaraz became the youngest US Open champion since Pete Sampras in 1990 and the youngest major winner since Rafael Nadal won the 2005 French Open.
