MMA stars who were suspended from Twitter

After Elon Musk took over, there’s a change in Twitter’s overall functioning and its ideology, a visible effect on the platform's strictness towards restricting users has been noticed. Here is a list of UFC fighters who were previously banned from Twitter. 

Sean Strickland is well known for his courageous statements in front of digital media. Strickland once claimed that transgender people are mentally retarded on his Twitter handle. Expectedly, his account was later suspended by Twitter.

The Diaz brothers are one of the most celebrated duos in the MMA world. The younger Diaz however was suspended for 90 days from the UFC after using a homophobic slur while speaking out against bantamweight fighter Bryan Caraway on Twitter. He was also served with a fine of $20,000 by the promotion as well.

Pimblett Twitter I'd was banned as he violated the platform's policy while responding to a troll. Later the European fighter called out Twitter for supporting trolls more than him. Previously, his Instagram ID was also suspended before being reinstated.

The former world kickboxing champion Andrew Tate was banned from the platform due to his misogynist remarks. His ban started in the year 2017 and finally came to an end when Twitter's new head Elon Musk decided to reinstate Tate's account on "freedom Friday."
