Kyle Larson and Chase Elliott choose the NASCAR GOAT

Seven times Cup champions Richard Petty, Dale Earnhardt, and Jimmie Johnson are the contenders for the GOAT spot.

Chase Elliott and Kyle Larson, when asked who is the GOAT, snubbed Earnhardt and Petty and chose Johnson as their GOAT.

I guess the way I look at it, and I’m probably biased because I got to compete with him, but just the quality of competition and car. His era was, in my opinion, much more difficult. The 5 consecutive times Cup champion is one of the GOAT’s but the choice by the HMS drivers might be biased, since they are associated with the same team.
