Jordan took everything personally, from opponents getting awards over him to coaches and executives snubbing him. He channeled this into motivation to dominate on the court.

Charles Barkley won the 1993 MVP, but Jordan, not having received the award himself, channeled his competitive drive to lead his team to the championship.

Ahead of the 1996 NBA Finals, Seattle coach Karl snubbed Jordan at a restaurant. Jordan used this as motivation to lead the Bulls to a championship and earn Finals MVP honors.

Despite Malone's deserving MVP win, Jordan felt snubbed and used it as motivation to outplay Malone in the NBA finals.

The "Bad Boys" Pistons were a dominant team in the 80s and 90s, beating the Bulls in the playoffs multiple times. Jordan worked to improve and finally got revenge in 1991, leading the Bulls to their first championship.

Jordan and GM Krause's tension peaked when he claimed organizations, not players, win championships. Jordan used it as fuel to win his sixth ring and called out Krause at his retirement.
