Michael Jordan's 63-point game against the Boston Celtics on April 20, 1986, set a new post-season scoring record in NBA history.

Jordan's success was overshadowed by the Bulls' double overtime loss, 135-131, to the Celtics who then swept the series and became NBA champions.

Michael Jordan was hailed by Celtics' Larry Bird as "God disguised", praising the exceptional player as the most thrilling and impressive in the game.

Jordan, who was 23 years old, had played just 18 games in the 1985-86 regular season after a foot injury before facing Celtics in the Eastern Conference First round Game 2.

Jordan's 63 points made up almost half of the Bulls' score, with 54 of those coming in regulation during the double-overtime game.

In NBA playoff history, Michael Jordan's 63 points during a game surpassed Elgin Baylor's record of 61 points on April 14, 1962, and remains unbeaten.
