Unfortunately, in devastating news, the 31-year-old former NFL player passed away as reported by the Cleveland Browns and his agent Drew Rosenhaus on Tuesday.

Smith’s girlfriend Petara Codero died in a car accident back in 2019.

Smith’s girlfriend Petara exited the vehicle but another car smashed into their Lamborghini and her at the same time. Petera was transferred to a local Cleveland hospital where she was pronounced dead by the doctors.

Chris Smith had three children including one daughter with his girlfriend Petara Codero. His third child Haven Harris Smith was born in August 2019 and was just four months old when she lost her mother in a car accident.
