The UFC and WWE are arguably the biggest promotions of combat sports entertainment in the world. Both have been co-surviving for years now and have seen great success during the process.
However, the dynamics are going to change a lot in the future, as both companies have decided to merge. The move was expected by many given that both companies always had great mutual relationships.
Recently, Vince McMahon has made a statement where he talked about how he's looking forward to taking the brands to a new level with this deal in terms of viewership and overall development.
"The new company will be well positioned to maximise the value of our combined media rights, enhance sponsorship monetization, develop new forms of content, and pursue other strategic mergers and acquisitions to further bolster our strong stable of brands," said McMahon.
According to the agreement, Endeavour, the parent company of the UFC, is going to establish a brand-new, publicly traded business that will manage both the UFC and WWE. WWE shareholders would keep 49% of the new firm, while Endeavour/UFC would own 51%.
Fans of both WWE and UFC are pretty excited after hearing the news that both companies now combined have an evaluation of $21 billion, as this promises various potential crossover events in the future, which will be extremely entertaining.
