UFC promotion is currently in the works of an elimination fight for the Bantamweight division. With the former Bantamweight champion, T.J. Dillashaw returning, Dana White has a title contender fight on his mind. Dillashaw will likely be facing Cory Sandhagen.

T.J is coming off a USADA suspension. The former champ has been kept off the octagon for two years and now the time has come. At UFC 259, Petr Yan and Aljamain Sterling are colliding for the Bantamweight title. Petr who is the current Bantamweight champion has also shown interest in fighting T.J. But UFC looks like they won’t give a direct shot to Dillashaw, which is considered fair by many.

With the title fight coming up on Sunday, fans are eager to know if Dillashaw might get a direct shot at the title. Dana White has refused to do so and is working on a plan. UFC President revealed his plan in the interview with ESPN’s Brett Okamoto.

Speaking to Brett, Dana said, “We’re working on something for TJ (Dillashaw) right now, where the winner of that fight would fight (the winner of Yan vs. Sterling) for the title next.” T J will officially return for the title eliminator fight.

Is Cory Sandhagen the man to beat for T.J. Dillashaw?

T.J. Dillashaw and Cory Sandhagen

It is safe to say that the hungriest fighter in the Bantamweight division right now is Cory Sandhagen. The fighter is coming off two straight wins in the division. One of them against Marlon Moraes and the other a spectacular eye-catching knockout against UFC veteran Frankie Edgar. It is only right that Dillashaw is matched up against the Sandman.

Though White didn’t drop any names regarding the title contender fight, it is safe to assume that Cory is the name the promotion has in mind. Cory is also determined to seek his revenge against Aljamain Sterling after the title fight is done. What do you think about the Cory Dillashaw match-up?
