Andy Murray first met Kim during the 2005 US Open. The story of their romance is nothing short of a Bollywood flick. Kim was actually a teenager when her love for Murray blossomed. They managed to keep their love secret for a while but the world got to know who Andy liked when he won his first-ever tournament in San Jose, California.
After winning the title match, Murray rushed into the crowd and kisses his beloved. According to the Hello Magazine, Kim missed school as Andy won the tournament and the whole world got to know why she missed school as the news of her romance with Andy was in the papers the next day.
“I remember saying to my mum, you’ve got to call in and tell them I’ve got the winter vomiting virus and I won’t be in but then it was on the front cover of the paper so I was busted,” Kim had claimed in an interaction. Kim grew up in West Sussex and she was actually just 17 years old when she first met Murray. Moreover, Kim’s father Nigel is also a tennis enthusiast and a coach.
After 9 years of dating, Kim and Andy finally tied the knot on 11 April 2015. The two have been each other’s support right through all thicks and thins. The amazing couple has been blessed with four children, namely, Eddie, Teddie, Sofia and another girl child who was born in March 2021.
