Although the pole vaulting star still holds world bests in multiple age groups, Armand Duplantis first came to the global spotlight after securing a well-fought silver at the 2019 World Championships in Doha. Swedish pole vaulter, Armand Duplantis is currently dating the Swedish model, Desiré Inglander. The couple has been together for about a year and often share adorable pictures of each other on their social media pages. They first met on Midsummer Eve, one of the oldest and most important festivals in Sweden.
“It is true that I found love. We first met on Midsummer Eve last year and were together until the end of summer and now it’s probably gotten more serious,” Armand Duplantis was quoted as saying by Newsbeezer.com in February 2021.
He further added about how the relationship impacted his life. “Of course it makes a difference to me as a person, but I don’t know if it affects me as a pole vaulter. Maybe I’ll be better, we’ll see. That’s the way life should be, you meet new people and experience new things,” he told Swedish newspaper, Aftonbladet.
Armand Duplantis described Desiré Inglander as “a very beautiful and cool person” saying he fell for the Swedish charm. The 19-year-old model is currently signed with Istanbul and London-based, Voce Model Agency.
