Peter Gojowcyzk is a German tennis player who turned Pro in 2006. Peter was born on 15 July 1989 in Dachau which was then part of West Germany. Peter started as a Pro still in his teens and spent a great deal of time on the Futures and Challenger level. His highest career ATP rank is World No. 39 which he achieved in June, 2018.

Gojowcyzk broke into the Top-100 of the ATP rankings for the first time in 2014 immediately after he qualified for the 2014 Australian Open and ended the year as World No. 79 after some good performances against high ranked players which included the likes of Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, Milos Raonic and Benjamin Becker.

Peter had to wait till 2017 for his first ATP title when he won the 2017 Moselle Open held in France where he won despite having entered the main-draw through the qualifying stages. That remains his last title won so far. He reached two more ATP finals in 2018 but had to settle for the runners-up trophy. By then he had won 8 ITF Futures and 5 ATP Challenger titles.

Peter is active on his social media handle but hardly posts anything apart from his professional life. There has been no official confirmation about the relationship status of the German and it is believed that he is currently not in any kind of relationship.

Peter has recorded just 2 Top-10 wins so far in his career. His 2nd round win over the then World No. 9 Milos Raonic at the 2014 Halle Open was his first big win. He later improved on the record when he defeated the then World No. 8 Jack Sock in the 2nd round of the 2018 Auckland Open.

His best Grand Slam result came at the 2021 US Open where he reached the 4th round as the World No. 141 after having entered the main-draw through the qualifying stages where he did not drop a single set.
