Following a rather disappointing opening day, India has managed to secure three medals at the World Junior Wrestling Championships. Putting the losses of the opening day behind them, Deepak and Gaurav Baliyan bagged bronze medals with some dominant performances.
Baliyan outclassed Germany’s Richard Schroeder as he secured his maiden World Championship medal. The Indian put up a dominant performance against the top seed as he clinched the bout 12-2 on technical superiority. Deepak on the other hand had a close fight but ended up victorious against Hungary’s Milan Andras with a scoreline of 3-2.
