Former Smackdown Women’s Champion Bayley teases return

Bayley was one of the biggest Superstars for WWE in the Thunderdome Era. She turned Heel just some time before the Thunderdome Era began. While initially, the Role Model was a typical Heel, WWE soon repackaged her as a comedic Heel and the fans loved her new avatar. In fact, she was also given her new talk-show segment – Ding, Dong Hello!

But the company and the Superstar ensured that the character did not overpower her in-ring prowess. The first Women’s Triple Crown Champion feuded against the then-Smackdown Women’s Champion Bianca Belair. They collided for the title at Wrestlemania Backlash and inside the Hell in a Cell.

They were scheduled to battle for the third time at WWE Money in the Bank. But days before the event, she suffered a torn ACL injury during a training session at the WWE Performance Center. As a result of this, she was replaced by Carmella in the match and has been out of action ever since. Bayley is expected to be out of action for nine months.

Despite of being out of action, Bayley has stayed in touch with her fans through her social media. She continues to interact with her fans and share her opinion on the various ongoings of WWE. During the latest episode of Smackdown, she put out a tweet claiming that she wants to wrestle.

“Well, I wanna wrestle” – tweeted Bayley. The latest episode of the Blue brand kicked off with a Tag Team match between Charlotte Flair, Shotzi, Toni Storm and Sasha Banks. Seeing the top Superstars from the Blue brand, must’ve got the Role Model excited for returning soon.  

Can Bayley return at WWE Day 1?

When she suffered a torn ACL, it was reported that Bayley would be out of action for nine months. She was injured in July, which makes it unlikely for her to return to WWE by Day 1. Considering WWE wants to make Day 1 one of their biggest events of the year, they would’ve have loved to pack such surprises for the event.

While they would’ve loved such surprises, Bayley is unlikely to return. The timeline of her injury makes her return likely by Wrestlemania. With too many Superstars emerging on the top, the Role Model will have innumerable opponents.
