The Fiend

Bray Wyatt is considered to be one of the biggest stars of the professional wrestling industry. He is one of the most creative stars in the industry. Windham Lawrence Rotunda, Wyatt’s real name, is popular for his The Wyatt Family and The Fiend gimmick. He is a third-generation professional wrestler and was dominating the WWE roster, before being shockingly released from the company.

After weeks of buildup, and several entertaining segments of the Firefly Fun House, the character of The Fiend debuted on WWE. Fans considered it to be the biggest supernatural gimmick since The Undertaker. Initially, WWE did well in establishing him as an undefeated force. But soon the character lost its track, since the shocking loss to Goldberg at Crown Jewel.

Since that night it seemed like that the plans with The Fiend had derailed. Their last attempt was to build a mixed feud between The Fiend and Alexa Bliss, but that never came to fruition with the release of Wyatt. With a Superstar as huge as Bray Wyatt becoming a free agent, promotions like All Elite Wrestling and Impact would all be waiting to grab him, but before that Wyatt had to serve a 90-day non-compete clause.

Recently, Wyatt’s non-compete clause came to an end and fans expected him to show up on AEW or Impact. But he showed up on neither, yet he continued teasing a new project. The details of his first project since his WWE release are finally out – and it is not what many had expected. Instead of getting back into the wrestling, Wyatt is currently working on a Hollywood project.

WWE perfectly built The Fiend character. The presence of puppets like Ramblin’ Rabbit, Huskus The Pig Boy and Vince McMahon made the segments entertaining and something unique. They completely took the character to a whole new level when they introduced the demonic mask of the character.

Bray Wyatt’s Mandible Claw was also established as a deadly finisher. Fiend was using this not only in his matches, but also used it to attack several Hall of Famers. He soon became the Universal Champion and even introduced 2 new designs for the title, one being exclusive to his character. But since back-to-back losses to Orton, the character lost all steam and was eventually released by the company.
