ECW legend New Jack passes away; Wrestling world reacts

New Jack passed away at the age of 58

ECW Legend Jerome Young, popularly known as New Jack passed away on Friday due to a heart attack in North Carolina. One of the most controversial performers in professional wrestling history, passed away at a young age of 58. Despite being a legend in ECW, New Jack never made an appearance on WWE.

New Jack was a part of the ECW roster for six years. During his tenure, he held the ECW World Tag Team Championships thrice as part of The Gangstas and The Gangstanators. When the company was purchased by WWE in 2003, New Jack left the company.

New Jack was popular for his controversial personality and his actions inside and outside the ring. Many even believe that this was the reason for WWE not signing him. Jim Cornette had even mentioned that WWE was afraid to sign him because he would eventually end up hurting someone.
