Celebration of 25 Years of Triple H in WWE
WWE Friday Night SmackDown featured a 25th Anniversary Celebration for Triple H as WWE continues to find alternative programming with first-run shows impacted by COVID-19. Shawn Michaels and Vince McMahon appeared in person while the Road Dogg, Ric Flair and Stephanie McMahon congratulated Triple H via video message.
King Corbin def. Drew Gulak ( WWE Money in the Bank Qualifying Match)
Shinsuke Nakamura & Cesaro stepped into King Corbin’s corner and helped the regal competitor defeat Drew Gulak and earn a spot in this year’s Money in the Bank Match. Corbin would deliver a brutal staff blow to Gulak after the loss to put an evil exclamation point on the victory.
Sheamus def. Daniel Vidot
Another man up, another man dispatched by The Celtic Warrior who quickly defeated Daniel Vidot and then took exception with Michael Cole’s repeated recognition of Jeff Hardy.
Lucha House Party def. The Miz & John Morrison
Lucha House Party shocked the WWE Universe and left Michael Cole and Cory Graves speechless with a victory over the former SmackDown Tag Team Champions ‘The Miz & John Morrison’.
Lacey Evans def. Sasha Banks ( WWE Money In The Bank Qualifying Match)
After Bayley got involved in the match, Sasha Banks appeared to have the match sealed with a long roll-up on Lacey Evans, but the distracted referee missed the movement. As The Boss snapped back at the SmackDown Women’s Champion to stay out of her clash, but The Sassy Southern Belle pounced on the opportunity to deliver a Woman’s Right.
Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross def. Carmella & Dana Brooke (Women’s Tag Team Championship Match)
Carmella & Dana Brooke got off to a fabulous start, but Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross kept their run going and successfully defended the Women’s Tag Team Titles.
