But before the focus shifts on WWE Money in the Bank, there are a few talking points from the recently concluded PPV. There were 3 Championships on the line and none of them changed hands. Surprisingly, the ending of two of these Championship matches at Hell in a Cell has disappointed the WWE Universe.

#1 Alexa Bliss

Bliss and Baszler

After missing from the in-ring action for a very long time, Alexa Bliss is finally back. While her supernatural character is still present, it is a welcome change to see her inside the ring rather than just delivering backstage segments.

Bliss faced MMA practitioner Shayna Baszler at WWE Hell in a Cell 2021 and came out with a dominant win. But the supernatural stuff was still present, as at one point Bliss hypnotized Nia Jax into slapping Reginald. But a rivalry between Bliss and Baszler has a lot of potential, and we could see more of it on the upcoming episodes of Raw.

#2 The questionable ending of the WWE Hell in a Cell 2021 main event

Lashley defeated McIntyre at Hell in a Cell

The Hell in a Cell PPV had several good matches, but the ending of the main event generated mixed reactions from the fans. The WWE Championship match between Bobby Lashley and Drew McIntyre had started with a bang but the ending ruined the whole match.

MVP interfered during the match, leading to a distraction roll-up win for Lashley. The defeat now means that McIntyre can no longer challenge Bobby Lashley for the WWE Championship. Several fans took to Twitter to sound their displeasure over the ending.

#3 The botch during the co-main event

Additionally, the ending of this match too disappointed the fans. Rhea Ripley tried to hit Flair with the announcer’s desk and the referee disqualified her, enabling her to retain the Championship. Strangely, Ripley celebrated like she had won the match clean. This might be a hint that Ripley will be soon turning Heel.

#4 Sami Zayn finally wins a one-on-one match

Sami Zayn faced his former friend Kevin Owens, in one of the best matches of the night. The duo gave the match everything they had and put on a wonderful treat for the wrestling fans. Interestingly, Zayn emerged victorious and ended his winless drought. As pointed out, Zayn had last won a singles match way back in October, 2020!

#5 Bianca Belair emerges victorious

Bayley and Belair

WWE Hell in a Cell 2021 kicked off with a brutal match inside the hellish structure. Belair successfully defended her Smackdown Women’s Championship against long-time rival, Bayley. The match was a brutal encounter and most importantly it brought out the real essence of the cage.

Surprisingly, the opening match was the peak of the event and everything went downhill, post this. But a win might lead to a new challenger for Belair. We could see Banks return demanding her rematch. Carmella and Liv Morgan too are in line for a shot at the title.
