5 things to look forward to on WWE RAW that could impact WrestleMania 39

This week’s episode of WWE RAW seems to have the potential to change the landscape of WrestleMania 39. The show has several matches, including a title match.

Damage CTRL is set to defend their Women’s Tag Team Championships against the team of Becky Lynch and WWE Hall of Famer Lita. Apart from this, The Beast Incarnate Brock Lesnar has also been announced for the show, and he will respond to Omos Challenge. The Miz is also set to host a special ‘Miz TV’ and many more.

There are several segments that can shape up the road to WrestleMania, and let’s check out the top five things that could have huge WrestleMania implications.

More WrestleMania matches could be announced on WWE RAW

The Showcase of Immortals is less than six weeks away. As of now, only three matches have been announced so far. This year, WWE has continued the tradition of having WrestleMania as a two-night event. Thus, this week, the Red brand could continue to plant the seeds for more matches to take place in Los Angeles.

05. Bianca Belair and Asuka face-off

Asuka punched her ticket to WrestleMania when she defeated five other superstars inside the Elimination Chamber. This Monday Night, she is set to wrestle Carmella. Bianca Belair could be at commentary for the match. The Empress of Tomorrow could pick up the win in a matter of minutes proving her dominance. The segment could come to an end with Bianca Belair on the announcer’s desk raising her title while the number one contender is in the ring starring the champion.

04. Edge is not done with The Judgment Day

Last week on WWE RAW, The Rated R Superstar challenged Austin Theory for the United States Championship. Edge had a strong showing in the match. But his plans to call himself a champion again were ruined by The Judgment Day’s Finn Balor. The seven-time WWE World Champion may be eager to get his revenge on The Prince. Edge would be happy to put an end to this rivalry once and for all on the grandest stage of all, and it could be in a gimmick match. 

03. The special Miz TV segment

Last week on RAW, Maryse handed an envelope to The Miz, and The A-Lister teased that it was so massive that he would reveal it on the following week’s episode of Miz TV. But this is not the main reason why the talk-show segment is a must-see event. The last time the two-time grand slam champion hosted the talk show, he had Seth Rollins as one of the guests. Miz asked about Logan Paul, which agitated The Visionary. During the segment, fans could see The Maverick appear and call out Rollins to set up a WrestleMania match between the two.

02. Brock Lesnar can accept Omos’ WrestleMania challenge

MVP challenged the Beast Incarnate Brock Lesnar to a match at WrestleMania 39 last week on behalf of Omos. The two titans have never wrestled each other, and if the former WWE Champion accepts the challenge, it will be a true spectacle. The last time we saw Lesnar inside the squared circle, he was battling The All-Mighty Bobby Lashley. The match ended in a disqualification as Lesnar kicked Lashley below the belt. While Lesnar could potentially walk out and accept the challenge, The All-Mighty may walk out to confront the Beast. This could lead to a triple-threat match between Omos, Lesnar, and Lashley at WrestleMania.

01. The WWE Women’s Tag Team Title Match set for WWE RAW

Last week on Monday Night RAW, Becky Lynch and Lita interrupted Bayley’s Ding Dong Hello segment and challenged Damage CTRL for their titles. The match is set to take place on this week’s episode of The Red Brand. This might be the night the champions drop their titles. On SmackDown, the team of Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler is dominating the women’s division, and they are looking to be the next challengers for the title. If Becky’s team wins the titles tonight, then their WrestleMania match could be against Baszler and Rousey. The Man has previously pinned both Rousey and Baszler on the grand stage. Thus, this should make for an interesting bout.

Given the possible outcomes, this year’s WrestleMania is shaping up to be one of the best shows of the year.
