Fans want their childhood hero to enter the ring again to inspire millions, and there is little chance of that as the legend Kurt Angle has said that if he is ever qualified for the final WrestleMania battle, he will need to work with a new star who is younger than him.

The 54-year-old has always done something special. No wonder if the ring was at the international or local stage; Kurt has always performed well and made sure that people would not forget his name if they saw him perform.

Kurt Angle participated in his farewell fight during WWE WrestleMania 35. He lost to Baron Corbin in his last battle in order to promote bloodline. However, Kurt Angle has undergone a knee replacement operation as he was always seen wearing a strong knee cap most of the time while fighting and has kept his pledge to retire from professional wrestling. It was noticed that his opponents used to target his knees more often while fighting during his last days in the ring.

During one special episode of The Kurt Angle Show, the former World Champion and Olympic said that if he ever wanted to enter the ring again, it would be another WrestleMania match, in which he would be required to team up with a younger talent which he believed could carry and protect him, naming examples like AJ Styles and Ricochet.

“Man. I’m not that dumb, “Angle. “Since I’m older and slower, I’ll pick a young guy. AJ Styles or Ricochet, the child is incredibly likeable. He’d be a great opponent. Braun Strowman. I want to wrestle Braun. Athletic for his size. His athleticism resembles Brock Lesnar. He’s close to Brock’s athleticism. I think those individuals would help me win that match.” Kurt

Angle and AJ Styles shared the platform regularly when they were both parts of the TNA Wrestling team. Kurt Angle and Braun Strowman wrestled in the ring as a tag team at the 2017 WWE Survivor Series which they later re-watched together and shared a good time on WWE’s official Youtube channel. Angle acknowledged the event’s finish in a recent interview, saying that, based on his perception, Braun Strowman can perform 5-star contests and he has a better image than he had a few years back. Kurt Angle has said that if he ever returns to the ring, he will need to compete in a tag team bout as he doesn’t trust his body to compete regularly or 1 in 1 matches.

However, Kurt Angle’s Doctor has indicated that he may never wrestle again. Wrestling retirements are completely real as players hit the age, and their body becomes slow and attracts injuries. Kurt Angle’s farewell fight in WrestleMania 35 in 2019 was against Baron Corbin. Despite previous promises to return, Kurt Angle recently had both of his knees replaced and has vowed he would not even try to re-enter the ring at the risk of further damaging his body. However, he is highly active on his show and always under the lines of Media.

Kurt Angle recently discussed his decision to have both knee surgeries.

“Well, you know, usually you have one at a time because it’s — you’re gonna be destabilized. So with me, the thing is, I wanted to get them out of the way. I just wanted to get them done and move forward with my life and not have to worry about the other down the road,” he said. “I can walk around. I’m still in a lot of pain, though.”

When asked whether he expected to rejoin the ring after both surgeries, Kurt Angle said he was doing it to better his life quality and had no plan of attempting to wrestle again with both knees rebuilt.

“My knees were shot. I had to have them done. I didn’t have a choice. Now with the knee replacements, no. I’m not going to mess these knees up. Kurt Angle said.

In response to a follow-up question on whether he believes he can return, Kurt Angle remained firm: “I have no idea, I don’t. I’m not going to try. No.”

Kurt Angle previously refused the IMPACT and AEW offers. He was close to joining Chad Gable and Otis at Alpha Academy early this year. It didn’t happen.
