WWE Superstar Drew McIntyre speaks about his rivalry with "the galactic warrior" Sheamus and talks about how they don't hold back anything

Drew McIntyre has been on the rise ever since he has returned to WWE. When Drew McIntyre returned to WWE he looked more muscular and powerful than his first persona back in 2009. Before returning to WWE in 2017, he was released in 2014 by WWE, Which also happens to be the end of his first run in WWE. During his tenure from 2009-2014 Drew became a 1-time intercontinental Champion and 2-time tag team champion, one time each with Cody Rhodes and Dolph Ziggler.

Since his return to WWE in 2017, Drew McIntyre has always been chasing the big thing; The WWE Championship. Drew won the NXT Championship in 2017 and then moved to the main roster. McIntyre has faced some of the current best in the business, He headlined the main event at WrestleMania 36 and beat “The Beast” Brock Lesnar to win the WWE Championship for the first time. The second time he won the Championship was when he beat “The Viper” Randy Orton on RAW in November 2020. Drew McIntyre is the first Britisher to be a WWE World Champion.

Drew McIntyre’s bout with Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 36 has been regarded as one of the best in WrestleMania history. “The Scottish Warrior” has managed to keep himself at the top and impress the WWE Universe. Drew has been lauded for his in-ring abilities, promo and is said to have one of the best finishers in the current generation. Once a mediocre wrestler has now become so dominant that he can be a threat to whoever be the current champion.

Recently, Drew McIntyre appeared on WWE’s The Bump and spoke about his rivalry with “The Galactic Warrior” Sheamus. Last year Drew McIntyre and Sheamus feuded with each other for the United States Championship, Drew faced Sheamus on an edition RAW, which would determine the contender for United States Championship against Damien Priest at Extreme Rules. McIntyre lost the bout to Sheamus and lost his chances of entering the United States Championship match at Extreme rules.

The two warriors have faced each other numerous times during their independent circuit days in UK. Drew said that both of them share similar ideas and views and that both of them don’t hold back in terms of putting their bodies on the line. He said that if someone is in the crowd for the first time, then at the end of the show he/she would leave raving and talking about drew McIntyre and Sheamus’ performances

“It feels different for us and hopefully feels different for the fans watching. I know it feels different seeing the feedback because we have a very particular philosophy in this industry. When we get in that ring, we don’t hold back whatsoever. We put everything out there. If there’s anyone in the crowd that feels a certain way, maybe it’s their first time at a WWE show, they’re going to leave talking about Drew McIntyre and Sheamus, and the level of physicality we bring to the ring.”

Drew and Sheamus faced each other fiercely on 10th June edition of SmackDown for the place in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match, but the match ended in a no contest. Drew McIntyre hasn’t yet qualified for the Money in the Bank ladder match but he is confident that he will win the briefcase and even has plans to cash it at a premium live event. Money in the bank will take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on July 2.
