It was reported earlier, that Roman Reigns was set to defend his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Kevin Owens at Royal Rumble 2023. But, Survivor Series 2022 had a spot that may have things changed. In a series of actions, Kevin Owens hit Roman Reigns with a right hand. This reportedly was hit hard and the Champion got his eardrum damaged.

This has reportedly led to a replacement for Royal Rumble 2023. After backstage heat between Reigns and Owens, Sheamus will probably replace the former Universal Champion and challenge Reigns at Royal Rumble 2023. But that doesn’t end the storyline between Reigns and Owens.
