“It was a really deep hole”- Kurt Angle gives massive props to Roman Reigns for undergoing a drastic transformation in his character

Kurt Angle says Roman Reigns has dug himself out of massive hole falling into which would've been impossible to come out off.

Kurt Angle is highly impressed by Roman Reigns

Roman Reigns is genuinely the definition of transforming oneself from being a blindly hated babyface to being beloved “bad guy”. He’s currently enjoying the best run of his entire career with having the Undisputed Universal. Championship around his waist, a wise man by his side and his cousins The Usos for always looking his back.

Reigns returned as a completely different avatar to the company back at Summerslam 2020 where he attacked Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman after their Universal Championship match got concluded with Bray Wyatt’s The Fiend gimmick emerging victorious in the mix. Reigns completely dismantled both of them and had a completely changed look on his face, had a savage merch over him which said “Wreck everyone and leave” which was somewhat resembling the same as to Stone Cold’s “Arrive, Raise Hell and Leave” catchphrase back in the day.

Since the Summer of 2020, Reigns has been breaking records after records with currently being held the titles for nearly 700 days, defeated superstars like Edge, Brock Lesnar, John Cena, Daniel Bryan and many more during his historic title reign. WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle has also heaped tons of praise over Roman Reigns while speaking to Two man Power Trip of Wrestling podcast recently for being changing himself to what he is today, he also called him as best worker in the business.

“I genuinely have a ton of respect for Roman because, you know, Vince McMahon pushed him from the beginning and he wasn’t ready to be pushed and fans started hating him, and he had to dig himself out of the hole – and it was a really deep hole too, and he did it. I mean, to be able to come out of that and prove to everybody you’re the best worker in the business, amazing.

Kurt Angle also recalled of the time when Reigns was on a forced rocket push driven by Vince McMahon’s instructions in order to establish him as the Next face of WWE but that experiment failed miserably for them as fans were not ready to accept that version of Reigns as their next guy whom they would like to be on the absolute top. However his heelish persona flipped the coin and made him as the “fan-favourite bad guy”.
