Backstage news on Nia Jax’s short-lived WWE return at Royal Rumble
Nia Jax's WWE return met with a massive fan outrage. However, she herself wasn't aware about her Rumble stuff, at least until a month in prior.

Nia Jax was WWE’s biggest surprise at this year’s Royal Rumble. Ironically enough, when everyone was expecting to witness the likes of The Rock and Steve Austin, they instead got Nia Jax. The company didn’t even stop there. Someone on their production truck shot the eagle way too early and botched Jax’s entrance music. The countdown clock had just flashed on the screen for #30 to come out, and the Irresistible Force was already there.
The crowd indeed popped for the time being. Seeing Nia once again under the WWE banner was surprising in a bad way. Due to her poor reputation of being a dangerous worker in the past, not a single person on Saturday sitting inside The Alamodome was elated. Nonetheless, the former Raw Women’s Champion made her presence-worthy walk, down to that aisle and got into the ring.
At first, all other women surrounded Nia Jax and launched the rocket in unison. However, that wasn’t enough to keep the 334 pounder down. She literally shoved off 11 of her counterparts with authority. Still, her dominant showing couldn’t kept her in contention for long as Jax was thrown out by everyone. Now, it doesn’t seem like she’s returning back to WWE full-time.
As a sigh of relief for the fans, it was an one-off appearance. Recalling her noteworthy Rumble experience, Jax recently touched down on some points with Highlight Superstore. While chatting with them, the Powerhouse revealed that she received the call to be in Rumble on a month’s notice. Also, her gear was a result of last minute rush. “No I did not (know about the Royal Rumble appearance ‘a month’ ahead of time)… I had it (my gear) very quickly rushed”, said Jax.

Nia Jax once left Becky Lynch with a broken nose
Accidents doesn’t always lead to greatness. However, an incident which saw the birth of one of the most iconic women’s gimmick of the past decade – The Man, was actually an accident. Back in November 2018, when SmackDown invaded Raw on the verge of Survivor Series, Becky Lynch led the baton for the blue brand. While engaging herself in the chaos, Lynch got badly hurt.
She got busted open by a right jab which was landed by Nia Jax during the brawl. The realization wasn’t sudden, but after a while, Becky was seen wiping the blood off her nose. The cameras caught everything and it quickly became a talk of the town. Since then, Becky Lynch has been a different breed in WWE. She’s at the very top of her game, connecting well with the audience too.
Needless to say, that infamous night can be credited for Becky Lynch’s flamboyant rise in the business. Nia Jax was the culprit there. However, for what it’s worth, the Irresistible Force helped Lynch, although in unlikeliest of the ways.
