Pat McAfee is the definition of a true sports entertainer

Pat McAfee is one of the most popular sports personalities across the globe. He is a former NFL athlete who retired from the competition after being a part of 8 seasons. Pat signed a contract with WWE in 2019 before serving as a guest commentator on several occasions beforehand.

He also had a gruesome rivalry with Adam Cole and The Undisputed Era back in 2020 on NXT’s Black and Gold brand. McAfee ganged up with Pete Dunne (now as Butch) alongside Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch to face Adam Cole’s Undisputed Era consisting of Keilly’o Reilly, Roderick Strong and Bobby Fish. At NXT Takeover: Wargames 2020, The Undisputed Era defeated Pat McAfee’s team in a fantastic Wargames match which ran 45 minutes from the bell.

On the latest edition of Friday Night Smackdown, while McAfee was serving his duties as the commentator alongside Michael Cole, a frustrated Happy Corbin came squandering out of the ring after losing a last laugh match against Madcap Moss. He pointed out McAfee and said that he and Pat knew each other from a long time but still during calling out their match, McAfee was insulting Corbin in front of the WWE Universe calling him “Dumba** Corbin” at times. He ended his trash talk saying that he’ll drove McAfee’s skinny a** all over that ring and make sure that Pat wished he was dead.

Obviously, Pat was not among those who quietly accept to being called out like this by anybody, wo the case wasn’t any different this time also as McAfee stood out from his chair and laughed out Corbin out of the arena by his verbal excellence and amazing crowd connect which added the salt to Happy Corbin’s wounded spots.

One might wonder whether this interaction will lead to potential McAfee Vs. Corbin feud in future? Well, this might be true as during the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer noted that Pat might be given this match against the former United States Champion Happy Corbin at Summerslam this year.

“It felt watching it, I don’t know this, but it felt watching it like they’re going to do McAfee and Corbin at you know, like, maybe SummerSlam.”

After the recent blow of injuries which took out several top stars out of action for months including Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton, WWE will need some additional star-power to load up their card for the biggest party of the summer. Hence, Pat McAfee doing a match at Summerslam sounds even more strong and intimidating now.
