Parker Boudreaux debuts as Harland on WWE NXT 2.0

One of the recent Performance Centre recruits, Parker Boudreaux debuted on WWE NXT 2.0 after oe Gacy’s match.

Parker Boudreaux has made his much awaited debut on WWE. On the latest episode of the rebranded NXT, the former collage footballer, made his first appearance on WWE TV. Interestingly, he was sporting a new look, because of which several fans weren’t able to recognize Boudreaux.

Parker Boudreaux has adopted the ring name of Harland, and has shaved his head to sport a bald look. He appeared right after the match between Joe Gacy and Ikemen Jiro. Gacy emerged victorious in the match, and had a stare-off with Harland. This could mean two things – either Harland’s first feud in WWE will be against Gacy or Gacy could make his own stable, with Harland being the first member.

Interestingly, WWE had initially planned to name Boudreaux “Gunnar Harland” but the first name was dropped and Parker was given a single ring name. Considering that this was a very brief appearance, we might still have to wait longer before we see Harland in action. WWE might build up a proper feud before intruding the in-ring abilities of Boudreaux to the WWE Universe.

Parker Boudreaux gained popularity due to his resemblance to Brock Lesnar

Earlier this year, Parker Boudreaux was announced as a part of the largest class of the WWE Performance Centre recruits. Along with him, several stars like Taya Valkyrie, Gigi Dolin and Bronson Rechsteiner were also part of the Class of PC recruits. But Boudreaux was the instant hit with the WWE Universe, due to his resemblance to the Beast Incarnate Brock Lesnar.

Boudreaux was an instant hit on social media, and this might have been a reason for WWE bringing him to television. The bald shaved look could be a conscious decision by the company, so that the fans do not compare him to Lesnar all the time.
