This episode of WWE Raw featured the Gauntlet match, between the participants of the WWE Championship Elimination Chamber match. The winner of the Gauntlet match will get the right to enter the Elimination Chamber last.
The Miz and Drew McIntyre segment
The Miz made his way to the ring, with his MITB briefcase. He welcomed the WWE Champion to the ring. Miz mentioned that Morrison is missing as he is recording a trash for Bad Bunny. He continued to poke McIntyre, who attacked him with a Glasgow Kiss.
The Miz was infuriated. He said that he has the MITB briefcase, and was in control. He is in the driver’s seat and removed himself from the Elimination Chamber match.
Lucha House Party and Riddle def. The Hurt Business
The Hurt Business are being represented by MVP, Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander. WWE United States Champion Bobby Lashley was watching from backstage. Shelton Benjamin started against Lince Dorado. Benjamin quickly powered him down and attacked him into the corner.
Alexander hit Dorado with a suplex for a one count. Alexander punched him down and covers for another one count. He knocked Dorado and applied a hammerlock. Dorado countered with a snapmare. Benjamin was tagged in and stomped Metalik. He turned Metalik inside out with a shoulder block.
MVP stomped him and tagged Alexander in. Riddle and Alexander tagged in. Riddle ran wild, and hit MVP. Riddle hit an exploder suplex followed by a Broton. He connected with a PK Kick. MVP blind tags in and clotheslined Riddle. MVP was limping as he hits a Ballin’ Elbow. Riddle hit a Final Flash on MVP followed by a Floating Bro for the win.
Bobby Lashley walked out and attacked Riddle and the LHP. The Hurt Business walked off triumphantly.
Charlotte Flair and Asuka vs. Lacey Evans and Peyton Royce (No Contest)
Prior to the match Evans thanked Flair for getting herself disqualified. That warned Evans a shot at the WWE Raw Women’s Championship. Royce started off against Asuka. They took each other down.
Charlotte Flair tagged in and sent Royce into the corner. She wanted Lacey Evans to tag in but Evans backed away. Flair shouted at Evans, and hits a fallaway slam. Royce stomped Asuka down in the corner before hitting a suplex for a two count. They then took each other down with a double clothesline. Charlotte tagged in. Evans refused.
The referee started to count. Charlotte went out to chase her, but the referee held her back. Evans says she was pregnant. Ric Flair celebrated and shouted to call him, “Daddy.” The referee stopped counting and the match ended in a No Contest.
Kofi Kingston def. The Miz
WWE official Adam Pearce had announced that a win for Kofi earns him a spot for the WWE Championship Elimination Chamber match. A win for The Miz, gives a spot to John Morrison. Miz hit a back elbow, but Kingston quickly took him down and applied an arm bar.
Miz fought and applied a side headlock. Kingston leapfrogged him twice and went for the back elbow, but Miz countered into a Skull Crushing Finale attempt. Kingston got out and went for Trouble in Paradise, but Miz avoided it.
Miz hit a jawbreaker and sent him into the ropes. Kingston kicked him in the face and dropkicked him out of the ring. Miz then hit a neckbreaker off the apron to the floor. Miz attacked the knee and applied a Figure Four Leglock. Kingston screamed in pain. But Kingston immediately followed up with Trouble in Paradise for the win.
Firefly Fun House
Orton was cutting a promo for his Gauntlet match, which was interrupted by the Firefly Fun House segment. Alexa Bliss is shown throwing ashes around. She is sitting in the middle of a pentagram. Bliss said, “In fire, he was destroyed, but in the future, he will be reborn.” The candles blew out, making Bliss happy.
Shayna Baszler def. Lana
Baszler stretched Lana as soon as the match began. Lana slapped her. Baszler laughed and clotheslined her. At the ringside Jax and Naomi get into a fight. Naomi sent Jax into the ringpost. Lana rolled up Baszler for a nearfall but was immediately held in the Kirifuda Clutch.
The Gauntlet Match
AJ Styles def. Kofi Kingston
Omos and Xaview Woods are at the ringside. Styles mentioned that he will end Kofi’s dreams of another KofiMania.
Kingston took Styles down with a head-butt in the corner. Styles fought back with a back suplex. Xavier Woods was happily playing the trombone until Omos grabbed him by the throat, held him up for a while, and chokeslammed him behind the barricade.
The referee ejected Omos from ringside. Styles angrily chopped Kingston. Kingston started to fight back, but Styles took him down with DDTs to the leg. Styles went to the apron and connected a Phenomenal Forearm for the win.
WWE Champion Drew McIntyre walked out.
Drew McIntyre def. AJ Styles
McIntyre clotheslined Styles down and chopped the chest. McIntyre sent Styles flying with a belly-to-belly overhead suplex. Styles pulled himself up, and McIntyre big booted him again.
McIntyre stomped the face and knocks Styles out of the ring. Styles attacked him at ringside, but McIntyre quickly whipped him hard into the steel steps. Styles quickly hit a throat thrust to stop McIntyre’s momentum. McIntyre sized Styles up for a Claymore Kick, but Styles dropkicked him in the face.
Styles went for a Phenomenal Forearm, but McIntyre sidestepped. McIntyre viciously sent Styles into the ropes followed by a Claymore Kick for the win.
Jeff Hardy walked out.
Drew McIntyre def. Jeff Hardy
Hardy started off with a Whisper in the Wind, followed by a dropkick that sent McIntyre out of the ring. Hardy attacked McIntyre and bounced him off the turnbuckles. McIntyre blocked a kick, but Hardy hit a twisting mule kick for a near fall. Hardy went for a sit-out jawbreaker, but McIntyre kneed him in the face.
McIntyre went for a Claymore Kick, but Hardy avoided it. Hardy connected with the Twist of Fate. Hardy went to the top rope and tried a Swanton Bomb, but McIntyre got the knees up. McIntyre connected with a Claymore Kick for the win.
Randy Orton walked out.
Drew McIntyre def. Randy Orton
As the match began, Orton was knocked out of the ring. All the virtual fans were suddenly replaced by the video of Alexa Bliss laughing. Orton got counted out. He angrily entered the ring, but is hit by a Claymore Kick.
Sheamus walked out.
Sheamus def. Drew McIntyre
Sheamus viciously attacked McIntyre from behind and knocked him out of the ring. Sheamus threw him into the ring post. He got McIntyre in the ring and stomped away at him. The referee asked if he wanted to face Sheamus. McIntyre, who was in pain, agreed to fight.
Sheamus dropped a pair of knees and grinds his knee into McIntyre’s previously broken jaw. McIntyre held his mouth in pain. McIntyre collapsed in pain. McIntyre fought back with a Glasgow Kiss and a Future Shock DDT.
Both men were down. McIntyre backed him up to the corner, but Sheamus elbowed him. Sheamus charged, but McIntyre hit a Double A Spinebuster. Sheamus sidestepped a Claymore Kick and connected with a Brogue Kick for the win.
Sheamus will be the final entrant in the WWE Championship Elimination Chamber match.
