Shinsuke Nakamura Crown Jewel debut came in 2018 where he defended his United States Championship in the kick off show of the pay-per-view. Nakamura defeated Rusev in an entertaining match on the kick off show of Crown Jewel 2018 to retain the United States Championship.

In 2019, Shinsuke Nakamura battled in a 10-man tag team match featuring Team Hulk Hogan and Team Ric Flair. Nakamura teamed up with Randy Orton, Baron Corbin, Bobby Lashley, Drew McIntyre, to face Roman Reigns, Chad Gable, Mustafa Ali, Rusev, and Ricochet. Team Hogan defeated Team Flair at the event which recorded the first loss at the pay-per-view for Nakamura.
