WWE Smackdown live results: Despite Brock Lesnar not showing up last week on Smackdown, a power-packed episode was delivered. A former challenger emerged for the Universal Champion Roman Reigns.
The show kicks off with the WWE intro video, as we go live into the arena. A video package hypes up the feud between Roman Reigns and Finn Balor.

WWE Smackdown live results: Roman Reigns def. Finn Balor
Roman Reigns is putting the title on the line against inaugural Universal Champion Finn Balor. Backstage, Heyman gets a call from Lesnar informing that he will be on Smackdown next week.
Finn Balor says that since 2016 he is being asked what would’ve happened if he hadn’t injured himself and was the Universal Champion. Tonight he answers the question. Balor makes his way to the ring. As he poses on the ring post, The Usos attack him. They attack him with the steel steps.
The Usos double team on Balor and The Street Profits run down once again. The two Tag Teams run into the crowd. Balor seems injured, as the Universal Champion Roman Reigns walks down to the ring.
Finn Balor is being looked after by the medics, as Reigns poses in the ring. The announcer introduces the Champion and the Challenger. The bell rings and Reigns looks to attack Balor’s already injured midsection. He launches Balor across the ring. Reigns slams Balor’s face on all the ringposts. The crowd loudly boos him.
Reigns runs to the ropes and Balor dropkicks Reigns’ knee and a massive fall by Reigns. Balor gets some momentum but Reigns drops him down.
Reigns is ready for the Superman Punch, but he counters with a chop to the chest. Balor counters another Superman Punch with an overhead kick. They trade punches and Reigns again attacks his midsection. But Balor takes him down and is fired up.
Reigns sends Balor outside the ring. As Reigns tries to get out, Balor uses the ring apron to his advantage. Balor goes flying over the top rope and gets Reigns back in the ring. He goes for the Coup de Grace but Reigns counters with a Superman Punch. 1..2..Balor kicks out!
Reigns is ready for a Spear but Balor with a kick to the head. Balor slams Reigns to the mat. He connects the Coup de Grace and 1..2..Reigns kicks out! While kicking out Reigns hit Balor with the low blow. Reigns punches Balor down and applies the guillotine. Balor tries to get a ropebreak but he fades away as the referee calls for the bell.
The lights go red for a second, teasing Lesnar’s return, as the show ends.
Result: Roman Reigns retains.
WWE Smackdown live results: Sami Zayn def. Dominik Mysterio
This will be a rematch from last week. Rey is not at the ringside today. The match begins and Dominik focusses on Zayn’s left arm. Zayn slams him down and starts kicking him in the back. Dom counters with a kick to the face. He goes for the 619 but Zayn leaves the ring.
Zayn is leaving and Rey Mysterio comes out to force him back. Dom dives over the top rope and hits Zayn. Rey advises Dom to get back in the ring, Dom says he got it. He gets back in the ring and gets kicked to the face by Zayn, for the win! Dom is clearly disappointed.
Result: Sami Zayn wins.
WWE Smackdown live results: The K-O Show
Corbin, back on the fortunate track of life, tried to buy the MITB contract from Big E last week. Kevin Owens is back and he will be hosting his talk show with special guest Happy Corbin. Owens welcomes everyone. He then welcomes Happy Corbin to the ring.
Corbin hugs Owens, who clearly doesn’t like it. Happy is happy to be a guest on the show! He thanks Owens as he wouldn’t be where he is, without Owens. Wearing expensive suits, cars, home and money. He even upgraded his friends – Logan Paul comes out to the ring.
Paul is being booed loudly. He thanks Owens for having him. Owens denies inviting as he wouldn’t subject the audience to such torture. Corbin says him and Paul have a lot in common. Paul reminds everyone that his brother won he fight this week. Owens disses both of them.
Paul gives him $100. Owens says that the only thing he needs from Paul is to leave the ring and never come back to WWE. They push each other. Corbin attacks Owens and hits him with a Chokeslam.
WWE Smackdown live results: Cesaro def. Seth Rollins via DQ
Cesaro makes his way to the ring. Seth Rollins, backstage, reveals that he has requested this match. He has watched his Summerslam match against Edge a million times and is inspired by Edge. H walks down to the ring to his old “Burn it Down” theme.
The bells rings and Rollins is down and out of the ring. Cesaro runs out and takes Rollins down again. He bangs Rollins’ face on the barricade. Back in the ring, Rollins hits back with a dropkick. A dropkick by Cesaro. The Swiss Cyborg is ready for the Swing but Rollins manages to get out of it.
Cesaro is punching away at Rollins, but he is sent face first into the ringpost. The two Superstars brawl on the top rope. Rollins picks him up and launches him across to the ringpost. Rollins is laughing. He goes for the neckbreaker but is hit with an uppercut. Rollins follows up with an Edge-O-Matic!
Rollins goes for the Stomp but is hit with a thunderous powerbomb. A series of uppercuts follow with a clothesline. Cesaro is ready for the Swing, but Rollins counters into a pinfall attempt. But Cesaro tries again ang begins the Swing. It is followed with a Sharpshooter, but Rollins gets a ropebreak.
Rollins is thrown out of the ring. He goes for another uppercut, but Rollins counters with a steel chair. He continues to attack Cesaro with the steel chair. Rollins takes out a steel rod from the chair and places it in Cesaro’s mouth – just like Edge did. He connects a Stomp, but he does not stop there.
Rollins goes for the conchairto, but EDGE IS BACK! He runs down to make the save as Rollins leaves the ring. The crowd is going wild, as Edge checks on Rollins.
Result: Cesaro wins via DQ.
WWE Smackdown live results: Rick Boogs def. Dolph Ziggler
Rick Boogs introduces Shinsuke Nakamura to the ring. Backstage – Dolph Ziggler asks Toni Storm to support him, but she says that she is backing Boogs.
The match kicks off as Ziggler gets him in a sleeper hold. But Boogs counters it and picks Ziggler up and slams him down. Ziggler pokes Boogs in the eyes and goes for the cover but kick out. Ziggler goes for the superkick but Boogs slams him down for the win.
Result: Rick Boogs picks up the win.
WWE Smackdown live results: Becky Lynch’s segment
Belair won the No.1 Contenders match last week to virtually book a match at WWE Extreme Rules. The Man Becky Lynch walks out and is looking dressed to compete. Replays are shown of Belair’s win last week.
The crowd is cheering Lynch loudly. A huge “BECKY!” chant picks up. The Man has come around to Jacksonville. She hints the crowd to do the “You Deserve It!” chants and the crowd obliges. Last week she did not get the opportunity to talk about Bianca Belair. She says that Belair is the most athletic Superstar and the only one to win a Wrestlemania main-event apart from her.
Lynch says that it is Belair’s fault that she wasn’t ready to face her at Summerslam. She was preparing to get the title back since the day she left. She might’ve been away from the ring, but Lynch has not forgotten to win. Bianca Belair walks out.
EST! chant picks up. Belair says that the title was a part of her. It etched her name in WWE history. All of that was lost in 26 seconds. Belair is still embarrassed. But she is not making excuses. She defeated three women last week, while Lynch was away. That is why she is the EST of WWE. Like everything, she earned her rematch.
Roman Reigns is defending his title tonight. Belair suggests that Becky does the same! Another EST chant picks up. Lynch says No and leaves the ring. She poses with the title on the ramp, as Belair stands in the ring.
WWE Smackdown live results: The Street Profits def. The Usos via DQ
This is a Championship Contenders match. If the Street Profits beat the Smackdown Tag Team Champions – they earn a shot at the title. The Usos complain about the Street Profits trying to make a name for themeselves by sticking their nose in family business and disrespecting the Head of the Table.
The Street Profits make their way to the ring. They announce that The Usos will be getting their a** whopped. Dawkins and Jimmy Uso start things off and Dawkins is down with a shoulder tackle. Dawkins hits back with a dropkick and Ford tags in. Another dropkick to both Jimmy and Jey.
Ford goes for the crossody on The Usos outside the ring, but the Smackdown Tag Team Champions catch him and slam him down. The Usos are dominating once again. Ford hits an enzuigiri to get some momentum. Jimmy is tagged in and Ford still looks for an opportunity to tag Dawkins in.
Jey and Dawkins tag in. Angelo is dropped with a Samoan Drop. Dawkins is on the top rope as The Usos continue to attack. Dawkins fights them both off and is hit with an enzuigiri. Ford is tagged in and hits a high-flying drop. He goes for the cover and Jey breaks it up.
Jey continues to attack Ford, as the referee calls for the bell. A brawl breaks out between The Usos and Angelo Dawkins.
Result: The Street Profits win via DQ.
