WWE Summerslam is well on its way to become the biggest WWE PPV of 2021. The company is tirelessly working on living up to the hype of “The Biggest Party of the Summer”. Interestingly, only two matches have been officially announced, so far, for WWE Summerslam.
Considering the massive scale that WWE wants to achieve with Summerslam this year, more Championship matches are likely to be added to the card. One of the titles, which has the potential of becoming one of the biggest matches on the card, is the Raw Tag Team Championship.
Currently, it seems like WWE is building up for a feud between current Champions Styles and Omos against Riddle and Randy Orton. This feud could be in line with the rumours that Vince McMahon considers Riddle to be the next Shawn Michaels.
Infact, Riddle kicked off 2021 with winning the WWE United States Championship. He held the title for 49-days before losing it to Sheamus at WWE Wrestlemania Night Two. But this isn’t all. Riddle is also the most successful WWE Superstar of 2021, with 25 wins. These includes wins on WWE TV, dark matches and recently resumed live events.
Riddle and Orton could win titles at WWE Summerslam
14-time WWE World Champion Randy Orton has been missing from WWE TV for quite some time now. But he is not completely forgotten, as Riddle namedrops Orton every week. This unlikely team of RK-Bro, might be WWE’s way to take Riddle to a prominent position on the main-event scene.
The two Superstars are likely to challenge the Raw Tag Team Champions at WWE Summerslam. Interestingly, both the team have one main-event star and a newcomer. It would be interesting to see, when Orton returns and topples the giant Omos.
WWE Summerslam airs live on 21st August, 2021.
