WWE Survivor Series 2021 is just around a week away. In the last one week, WWE has been throwing one surprise after another. Initially, the teams from both the brands were directly announced – for the 5-on-5 Elimination Tag Team match. The fans found it surprising that WWE went ahead with the team announcement without the regular qualifying matches.

Earlier this week, on WWE Raw, Dominik Mysterio lost his spot on Team Raw. He was replaced by the All Mighty Bobby Lashley – making all the members of the Red team a former World Champion. If this wasn’t enough, two more Superstars have lost their chance of appearing at WWE Survivor Series 2021.

Sami Zayn and Jeff Hardy collided on the Blue brand – with the condition that the loser will lose their spot on Team Smackdown. Zayn suffered a loss and consequently lost the spot on the team. On the other hand, newest Superstar on the roster, Aliyah lost her spot on the team too. Surprisingly, she lost her place in the team moments after securing a big win on her main roster debut.

The opening match of Smackdown saw all the members of Team Smackdown, including Naomi in action. Sasha Banks, Naomi and Aliyah teamed up to face Natalya, Shotzi Blackheart and Shayna Baszler. After delivering a hard-hitting bout, Aliyah countered Natalya’s Sharpshooter into a pinfall attempt for the win.

This was a massive win for Aliyah, considering it was her debut on the Blue brand. She celebrated backstage, but WWE official Sonya Deville informed her that she had been removed from Team Smackdown. Later, Sasha Banks tweeted in support of Aliyah and said that she will try and get her back on the team.
