WWE Survivor Series 2021: Two new matches added to the card

WWE Survivor Series 2021: Two new matches added to the card

RK Bro and The Usos

WWE Survivor Series 2021 is just a couple of sleeps away. Prior to the latest episode of Monday night Raw, only four matches were a part of the card – two Elimination Tag Team matches (Men’s and Women’s one each) and two Champion vs Champion matches (Universal Champion vs WWE Champion and Smackdown Women’s Champion vs Raw Women’s Champion).

But the latest episode of the Red brand, saw two new matches get added to the card. The Raw and Smackdown Tag Team Champions will be colliding against each other at WWE Survivor Series 2021. This feud again is like the other matches on the card – lacking any heat. This year, all the matches have been announced just for the sake of it.

WWE is more focussed on building the feuds for after Survivor Series. The event is known for the night where Superstars collide for brand supremacy. Champions from both the brands collide against each other too. The build up to the event used to feature qualifying matches, invasions and several sneak attacks – all of which were done away with this year.

Randy Orton and Riddle – the Tag Team Champions from the Red brand, will be taking on The Usos – the Tag Team Champions from the Blue brand. Once again, there is no real heat in this feud. But the fans did get a chance to witness them in action on the latest episode of Raw. The Usos teamed up with Seth Rollins to defeat RK Bro and Big E in the opening match of the night.

Another addition to the WWE Survivor Series 2021 card was yet another Champion vs Champion match. United States Champion Damian Priest will be taking on the Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura. Once again, these two Superstars have never collided and both of them are essentially babybfaces.

Soon after the match was announced. Priest tried to give some meaning to this match with his tweet – “I can’t speak for anyone else, but since my Rumble debut, I’ve only been a part of the #WWERaw brand. So this means something to me. Respect for @ShinsukeN. @rickboogswwe is a homie. But at #SurvivorSeries, I plan to show out! You know what time it is. My name… #LiveForever.”

WWE Survivor Series 2021 airs live on 21st November.
