WWE’s one of the best pay-per-view of 2020 just concluded at Hell in a Cell. The whole event was completely power packed with intense action and drama. 2 Championships changing hands was shocking for the whole WWE Universe. The highlights of the event were undoubtedly, Reigns-Uso match and Orton’s 14th Championship win.
With the conclusion of one PPV, the focus now shifted to the next PPV, Survivor Series. The event has WWE’s main roster brands going against each other. All these years it has been Raw vs. Smackdown. But last year, WWE’s yellow brand, NXT too participated in the event. This year there has been no indication that NXT is a part of the PPV.
Building up to Survivor Series
The Monday night Raw episode included qualifier matches for deciding the members of Team Raw. Other than that, 2 matches have already been announced for the pay-per-view. The biggest draw for the event, undoubtedly is 14-time WWE World Champion Randy Orton taking on WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns. The match between the Champions was expected considering The Viper is on the Red brand, while The Tribal Chief is on the Blue brand.
Another match that has already been announced is between the United States Champion and the Intercontinental Champion. Bobby Lashley will be representing the Red brand, while Sami Zayn fights for the Blue brand.
Three out of 5 members of Team Raw have already qualified. AJ Styles, Keith Lee and Sheamus won their qualifier matches. They defeated Jeff Hardy, Elias and Matt Riddle, respectively, to earn the spots.
The complete team for Raw Women’s Team has been announced. Women’s Tag Team Champions Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler earned their spots by virtue of them being Champions. Mandy Rose and Dana Brooke also got spots on the team without any matches. The fifth member was decide via a Fatal 4-Way match. Lana defeated Peyton Royce, Lacey Evans and Nikki Cross to earn the final spot.
It seems likely that Drew McIntyre will be included in the Raw Team as a captain. This may happen in the upcoming Raw episodes. This Survivor Series marks The Undertaker’s 30th anniversary as a WWE Superstar. There are rumors that the PPV will revolve around Taker. There have also been rumors of Taker making an appearance at the PPV.
