Reigns was supposed to face Goldberg at The Showcase of Immortals, but had pulled out due to the pandemic outbreak. But when he returned, Reigns was a pushed as the biggest Heel in the company. Since his return, Reigns has even formed an alliance with Paul Heyman.

But another change that surprised the fans was Reigns’ signature move. The Heel character of thr Samoan wrestler uses the Guillotine Choke. Reigns recently revealed that he had always wanted to use the Guillotine Choke but it wasn’t allowed.

The WWE producers felt that the Spear would be a better and more impactful finisher for Reigns. The Universal Champion was speaking to Bleacher Report, where he revealed the same.

“I’ve been wanting to use that for years. “No one’s to blame, it’s just the process of the creative…Everybody knows the Spear. The producers that I work with all the way up to the head man said, ‘I think the finish would be better with a Spear.’ That’s great because for years we built that spear up and up… nobody’s going to say, ‘I can’t believe he lost to that spear.’ If he won with that spear, they’d be like, ‘Yep, he won with the spear. It’s all good.’”

Finally, since Reigns turned Heel he has been allowed to use the choke as his finisher.
