Yashaswini Deswal, India’s Tokyo Olympics quota winner, shot 243.6 to claim the top spot in the 10m air pistol event on Saturday in the 4th Online International Shooting Championship.

On the other hand, with one point more than the World Record, Austria’s Martin Strempfl, who too is a Tokyo Games quota winner, shot 253.8 to finish on top in the 10 m air rifle, not only this but he also shot 633.7 which is 0.2 more than the qualification World Record.

Ashish Dabas was second with (243.1), while in an all-Indian affair, Anish Bhanwala finished third with the 222.3

Not 1, 2 or 3 but shooters from 11 countries participated in the Championship, which is an initiative of the former Indian rifleman Shimon Sharif.

To bag the second place, in the 10m air rifle event, Indian Rudrankksh Patil shot 251.7, where as the third position was secured by Visnu Shivaraj Pandian with 226.5 .

Following the given norms, shooters participated in the championship by logging on to Zoom platform, where they shot electronic targets set up in their houses, where the screen for which was shared for the scores to be marked.
