Tokyo Olympics quota holder Yashaswini Singh Deswal and teen prodigy Rudrankksh Patil confirmed top spot in 10m air pistol and 10m air rifle competition finals at the third International Online Shooting Championship on Saturday.
Rudrankksh is from Maharashtra and shot a world record score of 252.9 by winning the 10m air rifle tournament as it was not a recognised event, the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) will not be registered it.
Young shooter Yash Wardhan finished second after scoring 250.8 while France’s Etienne Germond spotted on third with a score of 228.5.
Yashaswini, a gold medalist at World Cup in Rio de Janeiro, took the top spot scoring 243.8 in the 10m air pistol final.
While Gaurav Rana and Manu Bhaker, medalist at ISSF World Cup, Commonwealth Games and the Youth Olympic ended second and third spot with scores of 240.6 and 218.3 respectively.
It is the third edition of the championship where set up was in their house and participants listed on the Zoom App from their locations and shot electronic targets.
