“You haven’t cleaned out the division, I am still here,” says Julianna Pena aiming once again at the champion Amanda Nunes

“You haven’t cleaned out the division, I am still here,” says Julianna Pena aiming once again at the champion Amanda Nunes

Julianna Pena goes absolutely wild calling out Amanda Nunes.

“The Venezuelan Vixen” seems like she won’t stop taking shots and talking trash about the Brazilian, Amanda Nunes. Julianna Pena demands Nunes to defend her title at 135 pounds or asks the two-division champ to vacate the title.

Last week, Amanda Nunes defended her Featherweight title against Megan Anderson and did it successfully. Not only did she beat Megan but also wiped out the whole division. Pena in the interview with Ariel Helwani questioned Nunes’ credibility in the 135 pounds category.

Now that the “Lioness” has two straight title defenses at 145, it is logical that she goes for the Bantamweight category. Pena was originally scheduled to fight Holly Holm but the fight has been called off due to Holm’s surgery.

“Forget Holly Holm. I want to fight for the title. 135 pounds (belt) has not been defended for over a year. If you’re not going to fight, then give it up, get the eff out of here and let someone else fight for it. If she wants to stay fat at 145, do that then,” Pena said in a recent interview with Helwani.

Julianna Pena feels that the fighters at 145 are lazy to cut weight and fight at 135

Despite Pena’s call-outs, it is a recorded fact that Amanda Nunes is one of the greatest if not the greatest at defending titles in the UFC. But Julianna claims that Amanda Nunes hasn’t cleaned out the division at 135.

“You act like you cleaned out the division,” she continued. “You haven’t cleaned out the division. I am still here, I am still standing and I have been here this entire time,” the Venuzeualen fighter said. Julianna also called the other fighters including Nunes “lazy”.

“All these girls who fight at 145 can make 135, I hope you know that. They can make the weight. They just want to be lazy and they don’t want to cut. 135 pounds is where the fights are at. No one cares about the 145-pound division; it’s dead, it’s done.”  Do you think Julianna makes sense or do you disagree with what the fighter has to say?
