Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday thanked Virat Kohli after the Indian cricket team captain wished him on his 70th birthday and also congratulated him and his wife, Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma, who are expecting their baby in January 2021.

Virat Kohli took to social media to announce the good news that he was expecting his first child with his wife Anushka Sharma and wishes have been pouring in for the couple since the announcement.

The swashbuckling batsman wished the Prime Minister Modi on his special day on Thursday (September 17). Kohli wrote a heartfelt birthday wishes to Modi.

Virat Kohli had earlier tweeted, “Wishing a very Happy birthday to our honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji. @narendramodi @PMOIndia.”

Taking to Twitter, PM Modi wrote, “Thankyou @imVkohli! I would also like to congratulate @AnushkaSharma and you. I am sure you will be amazing parents!”

Royal Challengers Bangalore to stand by frontline warriors

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will be donning jerseys with ‘My COVID Heroes’ written at back.

Currently, the 31-year-old is gearing up for the upcoming 13th edition of Indian Premier League ( IPL 2020) in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Earlier Virat-led Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) announced that the franchise will be donning jerseys with ‘My COVID Heroes’ written at the back. RCB will wear these jerseys to pay tribute to the real warriors who are at the frontlines in the fight against novel coronavirus.

Royal Challengers Bangalore will also be supporting GiveIndia Foundation. All the jerseys of the RCB players will go on an auction after their 1st match. The money collected through the auction will be donated to the foundation.

Throughout the IPL 2020 RCB players would be wearing ‘ My COVID Heroes’ jerseys. They will wear the jerseys to inspire all RCB fans to join them in paying tribute to the frontline warriors. RCB had a special launch event for the ‘COVID Heroes’ jersey.

RCB who have not yet won an IPL title will face Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in their first match on September 21 ahead of IPL 2020.
