Khabib Nurmagomedov beats Max Holloway
Khabib Nurmagomedov and Max Holloway gave the fight fans exactly what they were looking for in the Metaverse boxing fight.
The MMA bout between Nurmagomedov and Holloway is something that many fans regret not getting a chance to watch. Both the fighters are best in their disciplines, one being the best wrestler of UFC history other being one of the best boxers to step into the Octagon. The fight between them would have been a classic fight between a boxer and a grappler.
The duo was very close to fighting each other at UFC 223 in 2028 but it didn’t happen. Originally, Nurmagomedov was scheduled to fight against Tony Ferguson at UFC 223 but due to an injury, Ferguson had to pull out of the fight. Holloway decided to jump in with short notice but eventually was stopped by the New York State Athletic Commission as he was unfit for the fight due to an extreme weight cut. Later he was replaced by Al Laquinta who lost to ‘The Eagle’ via unanimous decision.
Till now many fans debate about who would have won the fight between Holloway and Nurmagomedov. But now after four years, this dream fight took place but not inside a conventional Octagon or boxing ring but in the Metaverse.
