Sean Strickland is wildly famous for not hinging his thoughts. ‘Tarzan’ often finds himself in trouble for tinting color and stereotypical references, just to mention some daily chores. The former UFC champ also often goes viral for what people consider right-wing ideas and takes. Now, those characteristics came to the forefront on a meal outing, when Strickland tried to get behind the hype of Popeyes chicken!

Fresh off a title loss at the UFC 312 PPV, Sean Strickland had been taking it in stride. This is in the way of continuing his trend of unhinged banters and unsolicited advice on some controversial matters. Away from an active camp, ‘Tarzan’ has dissed fried chicken as overrated. That all changed tune really quick when he walked into a Popeyes chain.

I often get saddened that I’ll never taste and experience fried chicken like a black man
I watch the reels, the YouTube shorts and y’all make fried chicken seem like it’s the greatest food on earth
I just don’t think it’s that good :/

Often put on a pedestal in all his glory for his ‘manly-man’ don’t-care attitude, the brazen Sean Strickland is not one to give in to public pandering. The Xtreme Couture fighter needed to face it firsthand to compliment (or diss) it instead of public perception mongering.

Case in point, an avid rider of the Harley-Davidson Low Rider S, Strickland had often dissed the decline in the quality of some Harley-Davidson motorcycles. The same went with Popeyes; weirdly enough, Strickland felt himself converted into a believer after tasting one.

I’m a believer.. Y’all need to try the Popeyes!!! This man is looking at me like why the f*ck is Sean Strickland at a Popeyes… CAUSE YOU ALL GOT SOME GOOD FU*KING CHICKEN!!!!

Now that Strickland has had his first POC-eyed ‘Black man’ culinary experience, one has to wonder if the controversial UFC will come up with other stereotypical takes and racial profiling anytime soon. As for a combat sports return, Strickland gave some updates on that as well.

Sean Strickland shares bland update after first day back in sparring following UFC 312

Former UFC 185-pound champ Sean Strickland recently hopped on to IG to inform on returning to sparring. On his Instagram Stories, ‘Tarzan’ detailed his first session after his crushing loss to Dricus Du Plessis. He’s now 0-2 in title fights to the Afrikaner and well away from contention.

While it was nothing beyond mass sparring and teep-and-jab, Strickland said his nose broke on the drizzle. Du Plessis had crushed his nose during the UFC 312 PPV headliner. However, he’s truly passionate about returning to sparring, as he always has mentioned.

Alright guys. First day back to actually sparring. Nose [is] a little sore, a little sore. But it feels real f*cking good to be back and have a purpose again.

At a 16-7 UFC digits, five of his seven career losses come by way of decision. However, Sean Strickland’s second UFC loss to DDP was more lopsided than the other. Middleweight “Tarzan” could not go beyond his defensive roll even though his corner urged for more action, round three onwards.

In the aftermath, he was jibed down by many for not living up to his promise of ‘war.’ It was a case of him letting DDP win easily than making the South African work hard for the win like their UFC 297 title fight. It will be interesting to see what changes he can come up with, after possible camp spats and shuffles.

Strickland’s 1,465 significant strikes is the highest in UFC 185-pound competition. But those have fallen flat with both of his title losses to the same person. The top-seed honor now goes to 185-pound top contender Khamzat Chimaev. However, Strickland seems in good spirits and getting back into the march.
