Athletes playing at the Paris Olympics are not happy about the conditions at the Olympic Village, and which is why several high-profile players have moved to other hotels. American tennis youngster Coco Gauff, however, revealed that every female tennis player from Team USA, except her, has moved out of the Village.

Gauff, who was USA’s flagbearer along with LeBron James at the opening ceremony on Friday, showed a chaotic scene at the $1.6 billion Olympic Village the next day in her seven-second TikTok clip where female athletes could be seen doing their hair and makeup. She captioned the post with this: “10 girls, two bathrooms. #olympicvillage.” And when in the comment section a fan wrote that the players should just stay inside another hotel, Gauff replied that everyone from her team had already left it.

The 20-year-old also revealed that the rooms were meant for just eight athletes but 10 athletes were living in them. At the same time, due to the thin polyethylene mattresses, she had to borrow a mattress topper from the USA’s archery team. Like the female tennis players, LeBron James and other basketball players from the US are also not staying at the Olympic Village.

This video from Gauff also comes after fans expressed their discontent with the opening ceremony held along the River Seine. From rain ruining the four-hour show to a few performances the fans criticized, the most controversial being the drag queens’ parody of the Last Supper.

Tomljanovic, on the other hand, played in the Palermo Ladies Open before the Olympics. She reached the Round of 16 where her compatriot Astra Sharma eliminated her in three sets.
