Talented 11-Year-Old Ukranian Gymnast Kateryna Diachenko Found Dead as Victim of Russian Missile

Tragedy struck as 11-year-old Ukrainian gymnastics star Kateryna Diachenko, died in a home in Mariupol as it was hit by a Russian missile. The youngster was said to be on the property when the attack happened in Mariupol, which has been the centre of intense bombardment by Russia.

According to dailymail.uk her coach Anastasia Meshchanenkov said, “She was supposed to conquer the world, but died buried in rubble. Can there be any justification of that?” Diachenko, just 11, was said to be a talented and future rhythmic gymnast.

Kateryna Diachenko’s coach mourned the loss of such a young talent. “Look at this talented girl. She was supposed to give her smiles to the world. What are children guilty of? I believe that there is a space in hell for everyone who is involved – and as soon as possible. I cannot speak, maybe when I come back to my senses.”

The Swiss Federation also went on to say that Diachenko was “one of the many victims of a senseless war.” Russian forces are now said to have surrounded Mariupol with a population of nearly half a million, and are pounding it with heavy artillery and airstrikes.
