New York Knicks pull off one of the biggest upsets of the day by beating Milwaukee Bucks to register first win under coach Tom Thibodeau. The inevitable Julius Randle led the Kicks by scoring a double-double with 29 points and 14 rebounds. 26-year-old Elfrid Payton also joined the party with a score of 27 with 7 assists against his name.

Milwaukee Bucks have now lost both their away games so far in the season. Being honest, they hav not been the same team ever since they lost to Miami Heat in the previous season’s playoffs. Be it in the pre-season games or now. Except Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton, no one else has been consistent.

Antetokounmpo scored a double-double as well in this loss, 27 points and 13 rebounds. Middleton was also handful with a tally of 22 points. But the question what everyone is asking after such a performance is whether or not Giannis committed a mistake by signing with the Bucks? Bobby Portis scored 17 points coming off the bench, with no other player making a decent contribution for the Bucks.

Knicks outplayed the Bucks by 18 points in the 2nd and 3rd quarter. Which seemed to be way too much for the Bucks to recover from. Let’s hope to see the Eastern Conference Giants improving as the season progresses.

Talking about the side from New York, the Knicks were among the NBA’s worst during that time but are hoping for a turnaround under Thibodeau, the former Coach of the Year who engineered comebacks in Chicago and Minnesota. The Knicks opened his tenure by hanging with Indiana and Philadelphia for a half before those teams pulled away in the final two quarters.
